I am excited that this new collection can be shown all together at last. This series is inspired by the beautiful Derbyshire village of Holbrook, where I am fortunate to live. Due to my use of interference colours and iridescent medium, these paintings really do need to be viewed in person to appreciate the full effect. Begun during lock down these paintings depict ‘gateways’ or ‘thresholds’ which mark some of the ancient ways both into the village and allow exit to further expansive horizons.
